It’s occured to me lately that the music scene, and those associated with it, really have a tight grip on the music they listen to, making it a constant struggle to let anyone else know about the “secret obscure” bands they listen to and brag about. Sure, I can relate to knowing about an obscure band, it’s great. But when the people around you don’t know about these amazing bands, everyone loses.
So, I’m here to reverse that thinking. I realized that I know a lot of bands, bands that need to be shared with everyone. Every day I’m going to present to you a band for that day; I’ll provide a little intro about the band, a myspace or last.fm link, and a song to listen too. Each band will be different, so there are going to be some you like and some you don’t. My hope is you find something you love. If you like one of the bands I’ve listed, please let me know. There’s nothing better than knowing that someone else appreciates the bands you listen to, and there’s nothing wrong with more fans for those bands. Welcome, and enjoy your finds.
